About West End Cliffs
The West End Cliffs of Negril are where the Caribbean ends at a limestone wall -- a two-mile stretch running from the Negril lighthouse north to the mouth of the Town Centre, where boutique hotels, cliffside bars, and open-air restaurants sit 30 to 60 feet above turquoise water. The feel is bohemian: Rick's Cafe at sunset with cliff divers queuing on the platform, Ivan's Bar at 3 Dives for jerk and live reggae, the Caves and Rockhouse and Catcha Falling Star hotels for guests who want to trade beachfront for a dramatic drop into snorkelling water below.
Drive time from MBJ is 80 to 95 minutes on the A1 and into West End Road. Meet and greet at Sangster is standard.
The West End's signature attractions are the lighthouse, Rick's Cafe, the cliffs themselves (snorkelling in 30 to 80 feet of clear water), and the short hop across Negril Town Centre to Seven Mile Beach for the afternoon. Cave diving excursions launch from the Caves hotel; bamboo rafting on the Great River is a 45-minute ride north.
