  • Which flights qualify for compensation?

    Under EU 261 / UK 261, flights departing the EU/UK on any airline, OR arriving in the EU/UK on an EU/UK-headquartered airline, qualify when delayed 3+ hours at arrival, cancelled with less than 14 days' notice, or overbooked. Distance and delay length determine the amount (typically €250–600). US DOT rules cover denied-boarding and tarmac delays on US carriers.

  • How much compensation can I claim?

    EU 261 pays €250 (short-haul, ≤1500km), €400 (medium-haul, 1500–3500km), or €600 (long-haul, >3500km) per passenger. UK 261 mirrors EU 261 in pounds.

  • How far back can I claim?

    EU 261 / UK 261 claims can be filed up to 6 years after the flight in some jurisdictions (3 in others). Don't assume an old delay is too old to claim — both partners' eligibility checkers will tell you instantly.

  • Do I have to pay anything upfront?
