About Kingston Waterfront
Kingston Waterfront stretches from the downtown financial district to Port Royal at the tip of the Palisadoes. The waterfront promenade, Ocean Boulevard, runs past the Bank of Jamaica, the Conference Centre, and the new Kingston Harbour development.
Port Royal — once the wickedest city on Earth — sits at the far end of the Palisadoes spit. Fort Charles, Gloria's legendary seafood restaurant, and the sunken remains of the 1692 earthquake city are all here. The ferry from the waterfront takes 20 minutes.
The Norman Manley Highway connects the waterfront to KIN airport. Lime Cay, a small uninhabited island offshore, is a weekend favourite — boats leave from Port Royal and Y-Knot Bar.
