Downtown Ocho Rios, St. Ann
Island Village is a two-level open-air shopping, dining, and entertainment plaza on the Ocho Rios waterfront, built on the site of the old Reynolds Pier and now functioning as the main pedestrian zone between the cruise terminal and Turtle River. The village includes a small beach (Reggae Beach), a Margaritaville outlet, the Cool Runnings Food Court, the Island Village cinema, a Jamaica-craft market, and a premium Ranch open-air bar. The layout is organised around a central palm courtyard with live reggae most afternoons during cruise-ship days.
For non-cruise visitors Island Village is a useful rainy-afternoon fallback in Ocho Rios. The shopping runs toward Sandals Reserve, Reggae To Go, and a few mid-tier boutiques; the food court is better than its name suggests, with a particularly strong jerk stall.
Drive time from OCJ is 20 minutes; from MBJ it is 2 hours. The Ochi Luxe Van is the standard vehicle. Island Village visits are typically combined with a Dunn's River Falls morning or a Shaw Park Gardens stop on a Quarter Day chauffeur at $450 for three hours in the right vehicle for your party. Compare tours and excursions for combined Ocho Rios circuit days, and find a nearby stay for the Ocho Rios Bay resorts within walking distance.
The village picks up energy on cruise-ship days (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) and is quieter mid-week.
