Fulleborn is a remote locality on the southern coast of West New Britain, in the islands region of Papua New Guinea, on the Solomon Sea. It lies in a rugged, thinly populated stretch of coast and rainforest far from the main towns, a region of small villages, subsistence gardening and traditional life rather than any developed tourism. West New Britain as a whole is known for its volcanic landscapes and, on the north coast, the world-class diving of Kimbe Bay, but the southern coast around Fulleborn is genuinely off the map, reached only by boat or light aircraft and small local airstrips. For the rare traveller who ventures here, it is deep frontier Papua New Guinea. The tropical climate is hot and humid year-round with heavy rainfall; the drier stretches are marginally easier for coastal travel, though conditions are always demanding.
