Where do you pick up a rental car in Tuzla?

At the airport. [Tuzla International Airport](https://tuzla-airport.ba/en/rent-a-car-2/) says renting a car there is possible and that numerous agencies have desks in the incoming (arrivals) hall. International brands sit alongside local Bosnian firms. Enterprise and National, for example, both publish a Tuzla International Airport branch.

The airport is not in Tuzla itself. It lies at Gornje Dubrave in the Živinice municipality, so a car is the simplest way to reach the city, Srebrenik or the Majevica hills.

What should you check before you book?

Check three things first. Is the desk in the terminal, or will someone meet you? What are the desk hours? And can you take the car across a border? The airport terminal is open 06:30 to 23:00. If your flight lands late, ask the company in writing how a late pickup works.

If you plan to drive into Croatia, Serbia or Montenegro, tell the rental company when you book. Cross-border trips usually need the company's written permission and the right insurance papers, and each company sets its own rules.

What is in the terminal while you wait?

The airport lists ATMs from Intesa Sanpaolo and Raiffeisen to the right of the main entrance, a currency exchange in the departures area and a souvenir shop to the left of the entrance. Two cafés serve the arrivals side and one serves the departure gate.

A duty-free shop of more than 60 square metres sits just past passport control on the departure side. Internet access codes are sold at the information desk.

How should you compare quotes?

Compare the total for your dates, not the daily rate alone. Look at the deposit and excess, the fuel policy, the mileage limit, extra-driver fees and the cost of cross-border cover. A cheap headline rate with a large excess can cost more if anything goes wrong.

Most Tuzla suppliers ask for a credit card deposit and add a fee for cross-border trips into Croatia or Serbia, so check the Green Card and border rules in the supplier's terms before you pay.
