Option 3: Public bus (from town, $5, 2+ hours)
JUTC and route taxis connect Montego Bay town centre to Negril for about $5. However, there is no direct bus from the airport — you would first need a taxi to town. Total journey time is 3+ hours with waits. Not recommended for tourists with luggage arriving at the airport.

Car rental is available at MBJ from all major companies. Driving to Negril takes about 1h 45m via the A1. Jamaica drives on the left. Road conditions vary — the A1 coastal highway is well-maintained but the mountain shortcut through Savanna-la-Mar can be challenging. Parking is available at all Negril resorts.
