The town's beach and pier draw Polish holidaymakers in particular, and the promenade's Path of the Stars, a local walk of fame honoring Polish film figures, gives Miedzyzdroje a bit of cultural identity beyond its beach-resort function. A long pier extends from the beach into the Baltic, a classic feature of Polish seaside resorts and a popular spot for an evening walk regardless of the season.

The code ZMC belongs to Miedzyzdroje's railway station, not an airport; the town has no air service of its own, and the honest gateway is Szczecin, roughly an hour away by road or rail, home to both a regional airport and good rail connections further into Poland and Germany. Wolin National Park itself is the real draw beyond the beach: it protects mixed forest, coastal cliffs, and lake habitats, and is best known for its European bison reserve, where the animals live in a large enclosed woodland area rather than roaming freely, giving visitors a realistic way to see them up close.

Within Miedzyzdroje, the town center, beach, and promenade are all easily walkable, and the national park's main trails and the bison reserve are reachable on foot or by a short local bus ride from the center. The Baltic coast has a short, clearly defined summer season, with July and August bringing the warmest weather and busiest beaches, while spring and early autumn offer a quieter, cooler alternative that still suits walking the national park's trails and coastal cliffs without the peak-season crowds. Winters are mild by Baltic standards but too cold and windy for the beach itself, so most visits cluster in the warmer half of the year.
