SZY is the airport code for Olsztyn-Mazury Airport, a regional airport in northeastern Poland, at Szymany near the town of Szczytno. It serves the city of Olsztyn and, above all, the surrounding region of Warmia and Masuria, a great outdoor region. Masuria, the Land of a Thousand Lakes, is a green expanse of interconnected lakes, rivers and forests that is a paradise for sailing, kayaking and summer holidays, centred on lake towns such as Gizycko and Mikolajki on the Great Masurian Lakes.
