What should you know before visiting?

Airport lounges

[Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka)](https://www.airport.lk/passenger_guide/departure_info/lounges) lists the Lotus (First Class) and Araliya (Business) lounges and a pay-per-use Executive Lounge.

Airline lounges

[SriLankan Airlines](https://www.srilankan.com/en_uk/plan-and-book/lounges) describes the Serendib Lounge on the departure hall's first floor and the 24-hour Serenediva Lounge on level 2.

Membership lounges

The [Priority Pass CMB page](https://www.prioritypass.com/en-GB/lounges/sri-lanka/colombo-bandaranaike) listed Palm Strip Lounge and Lotus First Class Lounge on 23 October 2026.

Fast track

Which lounge is for SriLankan Airlines passengers?

SriLankan's own lounge page describes the Serendib Lounge on the first floor of the departure hall, with about 80 seats, dining for 20, showers and a selection of 16 Ceylon teas. The Serenediva Lounge on level 2 is open 24 hours for top-tier members and some short-haul Business Class passengers, and includes a Siddhalepa spa offering a short complimentary massage.

Eligibility rules are set by the airline and its oneworld partners, so read the lounge entitlement on your ticket or frequent-flyer tier. Economy passengers on SriLankan are not automatically entitled to either room.

What do the airport-run lounges offer?

Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka), which operates CMB, lists the Lotus Lounge for First Class passengers and the Araliya Lounge for Business Class passengers of airlines other than SriLankan and Emirates, with a stated stay limit of six hours at Araliya. The [Executive Lounge](https://www.airport.lk/lounges/executive_lounge) is the pay-per-use option, with a stated stay of up to three hours, which the authority also markets as a Garnet package. AASL's [Lotus Lounge page](https://www.airport.lk/lounges/lotus_lounge) adds that eligible Priority Pass and Diners Club holders can use Lotus.

Because AASL changes packages and rates from time to time, we do not quote a price. Check the authority's page or ask at the lounge desk, and confirm whether your airline has a contract with a particular room before paying for entry yourself.

Can you use Priority Pass at Colombo?

Yes, at the rooms Priority Pass lists. On 23 October 2026 its CMB page showed the Palm Strip Lounge and the Lotus First Class Lounge, both with hours shown as 00:00 to 23:59, plus a dining offer at Soo Ceylon Café and Tea Lounge. Membership networks can add or drop lounges with little notice, so open the app before you leave for the airport.

Many card-linked memberships cap free visits or charge guests. Confirm your allowance and whether a time limit applies, especially on a long overnight layover.

How should you plan a long layover at CMB?

Colombo is a common overnight connection point for flights to the Maldives, the Gulf and South Asia. For a stay of more than a few hours, compare the airside transit hotel the airport names with a lounge visit, and check whether your connection requires you to clear immigration.
