XCN is the airport code for Coron Airport, in the Coron area at the northern tip of Palawan in the Philippines, one of the country's most beautiful island destinations. The main airport serving the area is actually Francisco B. Reyes Airport, also called Busuanga Airport, on Busuanga Island, with flights from Manila and Cebu. Coron is famous for its dramatic scenery of limestone islands rising from clear turquoise water, and above all for two things: the crystal-clear lakes and lagoons, such as Kayangan Lake and the Twin Lagoon, and some of the finest wreck diving in the world, on a fleet of Japanese ships sunk here in the Second World War. It is a paradise for island-hopping, diving and snorkelling in the Calamian Islands. Coron is reached by air to Busuanga and by ferry from other islands. The climate is tropical, with a dry season and a wetter, greener one.
