PHR is the airport code for Pacific Harbour, a resort town on the south coast of Viti Levu, the main island of Fiji, in the South Pacific. Set on the tropical Coral Coast between the international gateway at Nadi and the capital, Suva, Pacific Harbour is widely known as the adventure capital of Fiji. Its greatest fame is for diving: just offshore lies the Beqa lagoon, one of the world's most exciting places to dive with sharks, where several species gather in a protected marine reserve. Beyond the diving, there is white-water rafting on the Navua river, ziplining and jungle trips into the rainforest of the Namosi highlands, and the Arts Village, where Fijian culture and firewalking are on show. Pacific Harbour is reached by road along the coast from Nadi, a couple of hours away, or from Suva, and by its small airport. The climate is warm and tropical, with a wetter and a drier season.
