Parasi is a small settlement on the coast of Malaita, the most populous island of the Solomon Islands, in the South Pacific. It lies in a rural, coastal area of the island, a landscape of villages, gardens, forest and reef, home to communities of Malaita, an island known for its strong traditional cultures and, in places, its distinctive shell-money and artificial islands built on the lagoons.
