MSB is the airport code for the Marigot Seaplane Base, at Marigot, the capital and main town of the French side of Saint Martin, a beautiful island in the northeastern Caribbean shared between France and the Netherlands. As its name suggests, it is a base for seaplanes rather than a conventional airport, on the waterfront of Marigot, a lively harbour town known for its French flavour, its market, its marina and its fort overlooking the bay. Saint Martin is famous for its many fine beaches, its blend of French, Dutch and Caribbean cultures, and its excellent food and shopping. The island's main airport for airline flights is Princess Juliana International Airport on the Dutch side, with a smaller airport at Grand Case on the French side. Marigot is reached by road across the island and by sea. The climate is warm and tropical, with a hurricane season later in the year.
