Bhurban is a hill resort in the Murree hills of Punjab, Pakistan, set among pine-forested ridges at around 1,800 metres, a short drive from the popular hill station of Murree and roughly two hours from Islamabad. Long a summer retreat from the heat of the plains, it is known for its cool climate, forest scenery and mountain views, a well-known golf course, and as a relaxed, greener alternative to busier Murree nearby. The wider area - the Galyat, taking in Nathia Gali and the ridges toward the Himalayas - offers walks, viewpoints and cool-season snow, making Bhurban a comfortable base for the hills above Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Summer, roughly May to September, is the main season when visitors escape the lowland heat; winter brings cold weather and occasional snow, while spring and autumn offer mild, clear conditions.
