San Juan is the vibrant capital of Puerto Rico and the oldest city under US jurisdiction, founded in 1521. The cobblestone streets of Old San Juan are lined with colorful colonial buildings, imposing forts, and lively restaurants. Walk the cobblestone streets of Old San Juan and visit Castillo San Felipe del Morro (1539). Kayak the bioluminescent bay at Laguna Grande in Fajardo (45 min east).
