Car rental at Duqm International Airport (DQM) is compact and workable: walk left about 15 metres after entering the arrivals hall and the car rental desk area is straight ahead, where Enterprise, Alamo and National keep counters, with brokers also listing Sixt, Avis and Europcar for the airport. Duqm is Oman's long-haul special economic zone on the Arabian Sea, and distances here are serious - Muscat is roughly 550 kilometres away and fuel stops thin out between towns, so plan refuelling like a desert driver. Desks keep airport hours rather than around-the-clock schedules; after-hours pickup is possible with roughly 24 hours advance notice, so tell your company your flight time when you book.
