Rent a car in Sevilla at either of two hubs: Santa Justa railway station - where Sixt lists a round-the-clock office and Enterprise, Hertz and Europcar all keep station desks - or San Pablo Airport a short drive northeast. The station pattern suits Andalusia perfectly: ride the AVE high-speed train into Sevilla, stay car-free among the orange trees, then collect the car only for the road-trip leg. You genuinely should not drive in the historic centre - Barrio Santa Cruz's lanes are pedestrian-scale, access is restricted and hotel parking costs stack up - so park at the edges or skip the car until departure day. From Sevilla the driving is superb: Cordoba, Ronda and the white villages, Jerez and Cadiz, and the Donana wetlands' edge all sit within about two hours.
